Terms of Service

Give us an address you actually read — we verify it, and we use it for anything that matters. Keep your credentials to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access.

You describe a presentation. Skiaw researches the subject, writes the argument and lays out every slide in one of its themes. You can then edit the result, restyle it, and export it.

Generation is metered in credits, because every deck costs us real model time. Your plan determines how many credits you get; new accounts may receive a small welcome balance so you can try the product before paying. Welcome credits are a courtesy, not an entitlement — they are limited, non-transferable, have no cash value, and we can stop offering them at any time.

• Trial. A paid 7-day trial for $1. It requires a card and gives you a limited number of premium decks.
• Pro and Team. Monthly or yearly subscriptions, charged in advance. Yearly is billed as one payment for the year. Team includes two seats; extra seats are charged per seat.

Payments are handled by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Cancel whenever you like from your billing settings — you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not pro-rate the remainder.

Prices are shown exclusive of any tax we are required to add. We may change prices, but never for a period you have already paid for, and we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have a statutory right of withdrawal on a new subscription. Because generation begins immediately, starting to generate decks during that period means asking us to begin performance, and the refundable amount is reduced by what you have used.

Your input stays yours. Prompts, briefs and files you upload remain your property. You grant us only the licence we need to run the service — storing your content, sending it to the model providers listed in our privacy policy, and showing it back to you and to anyone you share it with.

The decks are yours too. As between you and us, you own the presentations Skiaw generates for you, and you can use them commercially. Note that AI output is not always eligible for copyright protection, and that similar prompts can produce similar decks for other users.

The product is ours. The software, themes, brand and interface remain the property of Skiaw. Nothing here gives you a licence to copy or resell them.

You confirm you have the right to upload whatever you upload, and that doing so does not infringe anyone else's rights.

Skiaw researches and writes automatically, and automated research gets things wrong. Figures, quotes, dates and claims can be inaccurate or out of date. Check anything that matters before you present it or rely on it. The output is provided as a starting point, not as professional, legal, financial or medical advice.

• Break the law, or use the product to help someone else break it.
• Generate content that infringes copyright, defames someone, or is designed to deceive or defraud.
• Upload malware, or attempt to breach, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
• Resell the service, resell generated decks as an automated deck-generation service, or scrape the product.
• Share one account between people who should each have a seat, or evade credit limits with multiple accounts.

We can suspend or close an account that does any of this. Where the breach is minor and fixable, we will ask first.

We work to keep Skiaw running, but we do not promise uninterrupted service on the standard plans, and generation depends on third-party model providers we do not control. We may change or retire features; if we remove something you rely on, we will say so in advance.

You can delete your account at any time from your settings. We can close an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, or if we stop offering the service — in the latter case, we will refund the unused part of anything you have prepaid. When an account closes, your decks are deleted as described in the privacy policy, so export anything you want to keep first.

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for anything that follows from relying on generated content without checking it.

Our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death, personal injury, or our own fraud or gross negligence — and nothing here removes the statutory rights you have as a consumer.

We may update these terms. For material changes we will email you at least 30 days before they take effect; continuing to use the service after that means you accept them. If you do not, you can cancel and we will refund the unused part of your period.

These terms are governed by the law of France, and the courts of France have jurisdiction — without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in.
