What to expect
No converter is lossless. These are the cases where the result will not match the original, stated up front rather than discovered on the file that mattered.
- A PDF has no slide structure, so you get free-floating text boxes and shapes rather than titles, bullet placeholders and a layout you can swap.
- Text is recovered per line, the way it sits on the page, so a paragraph can arrive as several boxes that need merging before you rewrite it.
- Scanned PDFs contain pictures of words, not words. Those pages convert as images — there is no OCR step here.
- Fonts not installed on the server are substituted with the closest metric match, so spacing can shift by a hair.
