What to expect
No converter is lossless. These are the cases where the result will not match the original, stated up front rather than discovered on the file that mattered.
- Slide transitions, animations and embedded video have no equivalent in PDF and are flattened to the final state of the slide.
- Fonts that are neither embedded in the file nor common on Linux are substituted with the closest metric match, which can shift line breaks slightly.
- Password-protected files cannot be opened and will come back as an error rather than an empty PDF.
- Speaker notes are not printed. The PDF contains the slides only.
